How GoodWordText texts work, and how to stop them at any time.

What you're agreeing to

When you tick the box on our sign-up form, you agree to this:

Yes, text me at this number about my GoodWordText account, including messages from the person I am connecting with and updates about my service. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help or STOP to cancel. See our Terms and Privacy Policy.

Ticking the box is optional. You can use this website without it.

What we send

  • One confirmation text right after you sign up. We send nothing else until you reply YES.
  • After you reply YES: messages from the person you're connecting with, and updates about your service, such as trial and billing reminders, and notices if a facility pauses messages.
  • Replies from GoodWord Helper, our automated assistant, when you text your GoodWord Helper number a question. Text PERSON to reach a person.
  • Only if you turn it on: one short daily good word each morning. Text GOODWORD OFF (or ask GoodWord Helper) to stop the daily good word. Texting STOP stops all texts from us.

We don't send marketing texts. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

Keywords

  • To confirm or start again: reply YES or START.
  • To stop all texts: reply STOP, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END or QUIT. We send one text to confirm you're unsubscribed, then nothing more.
  • For help: reply HELP or INFO.

Helper words

Send PERSON and GOODWORD OFF to your GoodWord Helper number, not your regular GoodWordText number. Your regular number passes every message to the person inside word for word, so the helper has its own number.

  • PERSON: reach a person.
  • GOODWORD OFF: stop the daily good word only. Your other texts keep coming.

Whose number

Only the owner of a mobile number can sign it up. A church or ministry that pays for seats never signs anyone up and never gives us anyone's number.

Carriers

Mobile carriers are not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages.
